If You Can’t Win, Whine

Liberals are attacking Republicans using special interest groups to create an appearance of scandal where none exists. Since Democrats can’t win at the ballot box, they’re attempting to destroy conservative leaders and obstruct reforms supported by the American people.

The new focus of the liberal wrath is Majority Leader Tom DeLay. Ronnie Earle, a hyper-partisan District Attorney from Texas, is investigating Tom DeLay, but hasn’t yet found evidence to indict him. Earle’s sole discovery is that – gasp – political fundraising took place.

Ronnie Earle is infamous for indicting Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison before an election on evidence so flimsy that he was laughed out of court. Enraged that Republicans added five more GOP House seats in Texas in 2004, Democrats are engaged a vicious attack to remove one of our most effective leaders in Washington.

The New York Times, The Washington Post and the usual suspects in the liberal media breathlessly report routine political activities like foreign trips and fundraisers as though they were illegal. Liberals hope that by constructing an appearance of impropriety, a few nervous Republicans will abandon DeLay.

Howard Dean also suggested that President Bush may have known of the 9-11 attacks ahead of time, and Ted Kennedy called Iraq ‘George Bush’s Vietnam’. Democrats denounced Bush as a lying warmonger for defending America. They have nothing positive to add on Social Security, the economy or the War on Terror, just an unbridled hatred for anyone blocking their will to power.

Time and again Democrats try to convince voters of the worst about our president, our country, and our party. Thanks to you they failed to destroy George Bush. Make sure their attacks on Tom DeLay fail – and that they pay at the ballot box for their sleazy, hate-filled strategy!
