| (TRENTON)—An
analysis by the Star-Ledger confirms what Republicans
have been saying all along, that the McGreevey Democrats
have raised taxes more per capita then any other state
in the nation--$3.6 billion more since Jim McGreevey
took office, which is the equivalent of $417 for every
man, woman and child.
“Not only are the
McGreevey Democrats bankrupting the state with
unconstitutional debt, they are drowning every man,
woman and child with increased taxes and fees,” said
Senator Joe Kyrillos, Chairman of the New Jersey
Republican State Committee. “Wall Street has spoken by
downgrading the State’s bond ratings and the voters will
speak next November by ridding the state of Jim
McGreevey and those who support his fiscally
irresponsible taxing, spending and borrowing in the
Legislature.”
