Tuckerton Seaport TO HOST 2004 OCEAN COUNTY TEEN ARTS EXHIBIT

TUCKERTON, NJ - - Tuckerton Seaport, the recreated maritime village located
on the scenic Tuckerton Creek, will host an onsite exhibit of Ocean County’s
2004 Teen Arts Festival from May 1 through May 21 at the Hotel DeCrab.
The Ocean County Teen Arts Festival provides a forum to showcase the visual,
performing and literary achievements of young artists in our region to
promote, nurture and encourage their artistic talents.  This visual arts
touring exhibit will feature the work of students from several Ocean County
high schools.  Participating high schools are Brick Township, Brick
Memorial, Central Regional, Jackson Memorial, Lakewood, Manchester Township,
Ocean County Vocational-Technical Schools/Brick, Monsignor Donovan, Point
Pleasant Beach, Point Pleasant Borough, Southern Regional and Toms River
East, North and South.
Now in its 25th year, the Ocean County Teen Arts Festival is part of the
State Teen Arts Program, which is celebrating its 35th anniversary.  The New
Jersey Teen Arts Program with the support of the New Jersey State Council on
the Arts and the Department of Education has grown to include 21 county
festivals, a two-day state festival, two visual arts touring exhibits, a
calendar and anthology, a Young Videographers Festival and a
composers/songwriters workshop.

dedicated to promoting arts education in our region and showcasing our local
talent - both established and new artists.”
The Ocean County Teen Arts Festival is funded by the New Jersey Council on
the Arts and Department of Education through grant funds administered by the
Ocean County Cultural and Heritage Commission with additional funding from
the Friends of Teen Arts, the Ocean County Board of Chosen Freeholders,
Ocean County College, Ocean County’s high schools, SI Bank and Trust
Foundation, Sovereign Bank, Krantz and Sirota, DDS, PA, Dr. William
Herbstman, Mr. And Mrs. Gerald Marks and Dr. and Mrs. John Kukucka.
